Five Lakes Attorney – Gabrielle Gabriel

  • Strong track record of results for her clients, with over $10 million in client debt resolved
  • Extensive legal experience spanning work as a Financial Crimes Specialist and Legal Review and Compliance Attorney, with responsibilities including fraud assessment and comprehensive analysis of complex legal and financial records

What drew you to Five Lakes?

The attorney-led approach to helping those in financial distress really resonated with me. Instead of treating clients as just another account, this firm focuses on the people — understanding their circumstances and fighting for them, all while helping to rebuild their financial lives.

What is the most rewarding part about your work?

Bringing relief and hope when clients realize they’re not alone in this process. Knowing that they have an entire team on their side, advocating for them and helping to regain control over their finances. Handling debt can be very stressful, but being able to bring peace to them in this situation is incredibly rewarding.

How would you describe your philosophy or approach when working with clients in debt?

I want my clients to feel heard and empowered, rather than judged, and know that they have an advocate who understands their challenges and is committed to helping them regain control of their financial future.

How do you define a “successful outcome” for your clients?

When a client is able to achieve financial relief and regain stability without feeling overwhelmed by the process. It’s not just about overcoming debts — it’s about helping them rebuild confidence, establishing healthier financial habits, and moving forward with a clearer path toward long term stability. When clients graduate feeling informed, supported, and hopeful about their future, that’s true success.

What advice would you give to someone who’s hesitant to reach out for help with their debt?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! Reaching out is the first step towards relief, it is not a sign of failure. Debt can be overwhelming, but the sooner you take action, the more options you’ll have. We have an entire team dedicated to guiding you through every step and making sure you feel supported towards a more stable and manageable future.

What’s your life like outside the office?

As a former D1 tennis player, I like to teach tennis whenever I have the time. I grew up playing, so I like to give back to the sport. I also love getting involved in my community through my sorority and spending time with my husband and our Australian Shepherd, Nova.
