What is the most rewarding part of your work?

My client consultations. I enjoy connecting with clients, walking them through the program, and  helping them understand they’re not alone and that there’s a real plan in place to help them  move forward.

How would you describe your approach when working with clients in debt?

I don’t believe people set out to fall behind on bills. Most of the time, life happens — like job  loss, medical issues, divorce, or major financial strain. I focus on listening first,  understanding how they arrived at this point, and then helping them see that there is a path  forward. My approach is based on empathy, clarity, and giving clients a sense of control  again.

How do you ensure clients feel informed and supported throughout the process?

I like to reinforce that communication is not only available, but encouraged. Whether by phone, text, chat, or the app, we’re here to answer questions and guide clients every step of the way.

What advice would you give someone hesitant to ask for help with their debt?

If the way you’ve been handling things isn’t working, it’s okay to try something new. Nothing changes if you’ve changed nothing. Five Lakes has a proven record of helping people in exactly this situation. Reaching out is the hardest step, but it’s the step that starts things  moving in the right direction.

What is your life like outside the office?

I love cooking and grilling. I once seriously considered becoming a chef, but realized chefs work when everyone else is off, so instead, I kept practicing law and became the chef at home!
