- Strong track record of results for her clients, with over $5 million in client debt resolved
- A career focused in debt management defense, supported by additional experience advocating for individuals in federal civil rights and small-business rights cases
What inspired you to pursue a career in law?
I was inspired by my aunt who was licensed to practice as an attorney in 1941! She joined the ranks when the number of women in the legal profession were in the single digits. I was able to work alongside her and learned a lot about helping people. I learned from her that being honest, fair, kind, and able to understand and relate to people on all levels provides the foundation of being a great attorney.
What drew you to Five Lakes?
It was clear Five Lakes had a good platform, structure, and business acumen in place to facilitate the debt management cases successfully. They had all the necessary resources and knew what they needed to accomplish for clients who put their trust in the program. I liked that we only charge success-based fees, or in other words, don’t charge clients before they actually get results.
How would you describe your philosophy or approach when working with clients in debt?
I strive to help clients shift their mindset by first understanding how they feel about their situation, then offering compassionate and nonjudgmental support, reassuring them that seeking help is a courageous and positive step. Most clients express relief and gratitude after joining our program, often saying they feel more hopeful and empowered.
What’s your life like outside the office?
I like to be outside and do some gardening, running, or hiking in local areas, and spending time with my family!
