What is the most rewarding part about your work?
Hearing a client tell me that the previous night (after joining Five Lakes) was the best night’s sleep they have had in years.
How would you describe your philosophy or approach when working with clients in debt?
I believe that most of us are just a couple of events away from needing services like Five Lakes offers, so I always put myself in their shoes and treat them like I would like to be treated.
How do you define a “successful outcome” for your clients?
Other than the obvious (reducing a client’s financial burdens), anything that can be done to alleviate stress in a client’s life counts as a success to me.
What advice would you give to someone who’s hesitant to reach out for help with their debt?
I would tell them that every marathon starts with a first step! It doesn’t cost anything to get a consultation with us.
What’s your life like outside the office?
I enjoy sports, playing board games (especially chess), and spending time with my wife and our AmStaff pup, Bridgette.
